Cadent and Affordable Warmth Solutions (AWS) have launched a new gas connection scheme in Bracknell.

The £1.4 million project will allow nearly 500 hundred homes to enjoy a new energy efficient heating system expected to deliver savings on energy bills – previously, residents of Warfield Park were struggling to keep their homes warm using liquefied petroleum gas heating systems, which costs more than using a mains gas supply.

As well as being provided with a free connection to the new gas mains network, a number of homes will also have new central heating systems installed free of charge.

The project is due for completion in early 2019.

Leigh Page, Cadent Commercial Services Manager, said: “With the new connection to our local gas network and the new energy efficient gas heating systems residents will soon be able to enjoy a new economical and efficient way to heat their homes.”
